Epic/Sony Records Signs 13 Year Old Rapper Lil Poopy
We’ve had the likes of Lil Romeo, Lil Bow Wow, Taylor Swift and a couple of acts who launched their music career quite early and most of them succeeded. However, Epic/Sony Records have signed 13 year old rapper Luis Rivera Jr who goes by the stage name Lil Poopy.
According to sources;”Lil Poopy, or Luis Rivera Jr. as he’s known to his classmates just signed a four-year deal with Epic/Sony Records on Friday, said the rappers manager.” While Lil Poopy describes the deal as a major breaking point, here’s what he had to say; “The teenage rapper called it ‘a major breaking point’ as he pursues his hip hop dreams. All of the older people – older friends – always underestimated me,’ Lil Poopy said. ‘They like me now. … I just want them to know that I’m coming for the top. They better be ready.”
So, I know your probably wondering who Lil Poopy is, here a little background check on the young lad. He was a member of French Montana‘s Coke Boys Record where he released a mixtape titled “Coke Ain’t A Bad Word” thereby causing a lot of controversy. The lyrical content got everyone talking as it had a combination of drugs, cars and sex. To cut the long story short, Luis Rivera Sr. (Lil Poopy’s father) was investigated for child abuse which lead to Lil Poopy taking a break.
