Governor Willie Obiano will tomorrow, 27th August, 2016, commission the three multi-billion naira, flyovers constructed by his administration in Awka.
Contractors handling the project were seen putting finishing touches on the three bridges yesterday to ensure that everything would be ready by Saturday.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnacheta said the governor would also use the occasion to lay the foundation stones of an International Conference Center and an oxygen project plant at the Anambra State University Teaching Hospital.
Other activities lined up for the event include the flag –off of one million tree planting campaign in the state and the N20 million project for each of the 177 communities in the state by the governor.
According to Nnacheta, activities for the silver jubilee celebration would last for three months, with a grand finale in December this year. He urged the people of the state to use the occasion to pray fervently for the sustenance of peace and progress in the state.
