The publisher of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor, turned 60 yesterday and in celebration, she threw a Soul Train themed party. Guests were dressed in attires reminiscent of the '90s. The celebrant and her husband of over three decades were also garbed in old school outfit.

Singer Cheryl Cole, 33, has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with her partner, Liam Payne. Cheryl posted a pic of Payne and their son on social media yesterday, revealing she gave birth on Wednesday 22nd March, 2017.

23-year-old Payne is the second member of One Direction to become a daddy after Louis Tomlinson who has a one-year-old son. Congrats to the couple.

Two trainee doctors in Mexico are sacked after posing with an amputated leg

Two trainee doctors with Clinica 25 in Monterrey, Mexico found themselves in hot water no thanks to their indiscretion and breach of professional ethics. One of the interns, named locally as Carolina Dominguez Garcia, 24, posted a photo of the pair with an amputated leg on Twitter alongside the message:'My first leg dad. Sorry if these images upset you.'

A 38-year-old Spaniard bullfighter is currently recuperating at a hospital after undergoing Anal reconstruction surgery following a bull that gored his bum with its 11-inch horn. Antonio Romero, a professional bullfighter was attacked during an annual bull-running celebration in Mexico City last Sunday. He was quickly rushed to a hospital after the gruesome incident left his anal sphincter damaged leaving him in a need for urgent surgery to restore his anus to its previous state.

The Port Elizabeth Border Police and the Customs Control officials in South Africa have intercepted three containers from Nigeria.

The Customs officials noted irregularities on many items that were in the containers when they examined the goods.

The World Bank has approved $200 million loan to Nigeria to support the government’s effort to boost small and mid-scale farmers.

A statement issued by World bank on Friday said the funds will help tackle low yields, lack of seed capital to set up agro-factories, low-level adoption of technology and limited access to markets.

Former Majority leader of the Senate, Ali Ndume, says he did the right thing by moving a motion for the investigation of Saraki and Melaye in the Bulletproof/Certificate scandal linked to both men. On Tuesday, Ndume during plenary, drew the attention of his colleagues to the scandal currently linked to both men, The senate afterwards mandated its committee on Ethics and Priviledges to investigate both men. In an interview with DailyTrust, Ndume said he raised the motion in the interest of the public.

Actor, Yomi Fabiyi shares photos of his estranged son on his birthday as he explains why he got married to a white woman

Actor, Yomi Fabiyi whose marriage to a white lady ended barely three years after they got married has explained why they initially got married. The lady Tonto Dikeh accused of sleeping with her husband, Rosy Meurer, was attacked by an unknown man as she made her way to the premiere of a movie in Lagos yesterday March 24th.

According to this twitter user, Kenny Abel Adesanya, men of the 174 battalion in Ogun state, beat the man pictured above, to death in the Ogijo area of the state yesterday March 24th. According to reports, the deceased was owing his landlady two months house rent. The landlady invited the soldiers to intervene and they ended up beating him so badly he was admitted to hospital.

He was on admission for some days but died yesterday. His Family members in anger, carried his corpse and dumped it in front of the Landlady's house. The said Landlady has since been arrested.

Nollywood script writer, director & producer, Chike Bryan, has died. According to reports, the father of five died after he received a call from home while on his way to work yesterday March 24th. He reportedly developed stroke after the shock he suffered from the call he got and died hours later at the Lagos State Teaching hospital. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
