Legendary Indian actor Om Puri dies at 66
Critically acclaimed Indian actor Om Puri has died at the age of 66. According
to a friend close to him, Om Puri, who starred in popular movies like "City of Joy" and
"East is East," suffered a heart attack early Friday January 6th at his Mumbai home.
Puri was one of the lead stars of 2014's "The Hundred Foot Journey," and also appeared in 2007's Charlie Wilson's War and 2012's "The Reluctant Fundamentalist."
Puri
was known for his versatility and appeal across global markets. He
appeared not only in mainstream Bollywood movies and regional Indian
cinema, but also numerous British and Hollywood productions.

Aisha Buhari denies collecting monetary or material favors from the Nigeria High Commission in the UK
Yesterday, US based news platform, Sahara Reporters, posted a story on
its website claiming Aisha Buhari and other key Nigerians allegedly use
revenue generated from the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, to pay

camp in Maiduguri by ACE Charity, three weeks ago. She was abandoned and

and attacked a group of children. According to Chinese media reports,

Two arrested for trying to sell dead cow
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Sokoto State Command
says it has arrested two suspects, Nuru Sakaba and Magawata Gaski, for
alleged attempt to sell the meat of a dead cow.
The Commandant of the corps in the state, Mr. Babangida Abdullahi, on Thursday said that the suspects were arrested around the Fakon-Idi area of Sokoto on Wednesday while butchering the dead cow.

Rakiya Abubakar, who was rescued in the Alagarno area of Damboa Local
Government Area of Borno State today January 5th.
According to a statement released by his media aide, Femi Adesina, President Buhari noted that the recovery raises renewed hope that other captured girls will one day be reunited with their families, friends and community.
